A winter garden is a special type of an interior. Large glazing, and thus maximum interior lighting, positively affects the well-being of the household members. A winter garden can be a glazed living room, home garden or a sunny dining room. When properly planned and built, it acts as a heat storage room for the entire house and contributes to lowe- ring energy bills. A winter garden  also  increases the usable area of the house.
